Judge Brinton

Jasper Yeates Brinton, a graduate of University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1901, was named to the [[[Mixed Courts of Egypt]] as a judge in 1921. He served as judge from 1921 to 1948, in the Alexandria District of the Mixed Courts, and lived in the Ramleh quarter, east of the city. He was well-known in the expatriate community of Alexandria. The relatively small group of Americans in this community was almost all made up of members of the Egypt Mission; he was known to the Schutz students as a regular visitor on campus, according to Bric-a-Brac issues of 1925, 1926, 1927 Judge Brinton was a generous host of the American expatriate community in Alexandria for patriotic celebrations, such as Washington’s Birthday. https://nyti.ms/2uQgT6i See also Mixed Courts of Egypt
