Ful medames

Ful medames (sometimes spelled medemmis) is a slow-cooked Egyptian stew of fava beans, usually served for breakfast. Ful was served at Schutz; in the 1960s, once a month on Saturdays, ful medames was served for breakfast, with lemon wedges and oil, hard boiled eggs and aish baladi. [1]
